Certainly it will make people think the government's policy is all stick and no carrot - not a good message for people on IB who want support to get work but are worried about the new bill.<BR/><BR/>But the argument that it is a waste of taxpayer's money needs further examination. We are talking about £400,000 - a decent-sized sum for a council thinking about employing more detatched youth workers etc, but as a percentage of a government department's advertising budget must be quite small, and pretty good value for so much air-time raising awareness of government policies?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
